Principals
Michael Weissman
With over 15 years of strategy experience, Michael has
counseled start-ups as well as major public corporations including Adobe Systems, Apple Computer, EDS,
Fidelity Investments, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Pyramid Brewery, Sybase, Toshiba, and dozens of others.
Michael has also been CEO of a multimillion-dollar business, co-founder in a web start-up, an expert witness on
marketing issues and generated over $500 million in new business while holding senior marketing roles with
several large high technology companies. During his career, Michael has won marketing awards for products,
promotions, web design, and branding. He has an undergraduate business degree from Babson College and an
MBA from University of California, Irvine.
Through his leadership, Michael has enabled his teams and clients to successfully create
innovative businesses, strategies, products, services and brands. Michael is
co-author of The Paradox of Excellence.
Mike Stone
Mike has over 20 years of high technology management and consulting experience. He has
consulted with many leading technology firms including Microsoft,
Earthlink, Symantec, Quarterdeck, Persistence Software, and HP. He is on
the board of several high technology companies and is frequently an expert
witness in the areas of high technology marketing and strategy. Mike has
also worked as a consultant for McKinsey and Company and has held senior
executive positions at CardioNow, Citrix Systems and Ashton-Tate.
Dave Mosby
Dave has 35 years of experience in high technology, half of which as CEO. He has led InterWorks
Software, Inc., a software development firm creating specialized customer retention
solutions for companies of all sizes including DHL, Integres Global Logistics, Joseph W.
Ciatti & Company, Kaiser Permanente Healthcare, LGT Capital, Link Logistics/Starbucks,
Trademark Capital Services. Prior to starting InterWorks, Dave was president and
CEO of Softguard Systems, Inc., a publicly traded software company that licensed
technology to Lotus, Ashton-Tate, Novell, WordPerfect, Quark, and Adobe. Dave led the
company through a transformation that resulted in 2,500% growth in market capitalization
in three years.
Prior to that he was President of The Systems Support Group and before
that led teams that took new products to market at SAGE Software, Boole & Babbage, and UCC.
His early work at the NSA and Strategic Air Command exposed him to the birth of the Internet
which set in motion a career focused on applying contemporary information technology to
help businesses improve productivity and enable innovation.
Throughout Dave’s career, he has successfully managed teams and projects that brought new technologies and
business operations to new markets, generated over $30 million in new revenues and
consistently enhanced client value by creating innovative solutions to classical
problems of organization, market, and product development. Dave is co-author of
The Paradox of Excellence.
Ilya Brook
Ilya has 18 years of professional experience in the fields of Marketing and
Finance. For the past 8 years he has consulted on a variety of strategic
marketing projects focusing on competitive analysis, market sizing,
benchmarking, product positioning, new product introductions, partnering
strategies, and licensing strategies. Ilya's experience includes
consulting with Adobe, Avery Dennison, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft,
Symantec, and Verifone. Prior to that, Ilya worked at McKinsey & Co.
He was also part of the strategic planning staff at Fleet/Norstar
Financial Group (Now FleetBoston) and at Fleet Brokerage.
Frank Martin
Frank has over 25 years of high technology sales and marketing experience. He
has advised Applied Voice Recognition, Coradiant, Epson America, General
Software, HP, Personable.com and others in areas of international business
planning, sales management, business and product launch, and channel
strategy. Prior to consulting, Frank led sales for CyberMedia and Stac
Electronics, held management positions at Toshiba and United Stationers
and also worked at Digital Equipment Corporation and Burroughs.
